Multi Level Marketing and Making Proper Claims

March 26, 2009 1:44 pm

As a distributor in a leading multi level marketing firm you need to be an outstanding salesman or saleswoman.  Most importantly, there are certain traits you must have.  You need to be fully knowledgeable of what you’re selling.  You need confidence to push your company’s product(s).  You also need to have what’s called sell-ability.

But, above all else you need to be honest.

For if you focus your sales and recruiting by providing misleading claims about your company’s product(s) then it’s likely to come back and mess with your current sales success, not to mention your reputation in the company and the multi level marketing business branch itself.

As it stands, most multi level marketing companies will explicitly tell their distributors to not make claims for their products that don’t stick to published literature descriptions or depictions.  Why do companies do this?  To save themselves…just in case; more or less this is a way to ensure that the company can deny responsibility for any or all distributors’ actions, both in what they say or do.

So, as a distributor, it’s best to be truthful when pitching to possible clients or recruits.  Yes, you can elaborate…but again, stay within literature parameters.  Don’t overdue it.  If you adopt this method, you’ll be a success in your selling but also, you’ll be saving yourself and your company in one motion.
