That seems to be the prevailing attitude of most Americans that have their collective heads in the sand. First off, there’s no guarantee we come out of this recession and experience any great economic recovery, and even if we do, it’s going to be a long, slow, painful process. Many experts are predicting a modest growth of about 2% for the U.S. economy in 2011 and 2012. Unemployment continues to hover around 10%, with “real” unemployment nearing 20%.

Both major political parties seem to have either really awful or tired, ineffective ideas about how to bring us out of this mess. I don’t want to get too much into politics in this post, but you don’t need me to tell you that BOTH parties are corrupt, clueless and only worried about acquiring and maintaining more power and money. You think they really have your best interests at heart?

So the bottom line is, if you think you’re going to get swept up in a positive wave of economic growth in 2011 or beyond, you’re sadly mistaken. Do you really think it’s suddenly going to get easier to find a job next year? Will the job you currently have get better, pay you more, become more secure, ensure you that you won’t be laid off and allow you to live the life you truly deserve in 2011? Hey, I’m all for optimism, but not when it’s combined with stupidity. How about we pull our heads out of the sand for once?

Listen, I’ll be straightforward with you. Self-employment is the only way out. It’s your best option and your only option. Owning your own business is the only answer to the dire economic conditions that are sure to persist for the foreseeable future. You need to be in control of your financial future, and a job, even a “good job,” simply won’t cut it. This has always been true to some extent, but it’s truer now more so than ever.

If you’re a smart, logical human being, if you’re a realist, if you’re aware of the situation in this country and the world and what’s going on around you, then you will start your own home based business. If you care at all about your own future and the future of your family, and you’re sick and tired of waiting for everything to get better without actually changing anything in your life, then you will start your own home based business right now.

I’m not saying you’re a moron if you don’t work with me in my home based business. I AM saying that you’re most likely not thinking about the world and your own financial situation logically if you aren’t at least considering looking into starting some type of home based business. Residual income, being your own boss, controlling your time and income…these are things worth striving for and just a few of the benefits experienced by home based business owners throughout the world today. Starting a home based business right now is easier than ever because of the Internet and technology in general. It’s inexpensive, usually carries very little risk and puts no ceiling on your income potential. You can work your own hours, make as much money as you want and retire early with proper work habits and consistency. Best of all, you get to help others succeed in their own business while you succeed in yours.

“Uh-oh Jeff, this sounds like you’re promoting one of those network marketing pyramid schemes.”

Ya know what, if that’s what you’re thinking right now, get the hell off my site. You’re obviously too stupid to understand how almost every business model in the world works and you’re probably better off working a job for the next 42 years anyway. We do need people to do that afterall.

Yes, when I say you should start a home based business, I am talking about network marketing, or multi level marketing, and these concepts are not evil, or scams, or schemes, or anything else negative for that matter. I shouldn’t have to explain why, so I’m not going to. If you’ve read this far, I’m counting on you being intelligent enough to know that a legitimate network marketing business model can make you literally millions of dollars per year if you work it correctly and treat it like the real business that it is. A network marketing home business enables virtually ANYONE the chance to earn a full-time income and then some if they so choose. Or you can continue to work your job and run your business on the side to make some part-time extra cash. This is actually how most people get started in the industry. There’s nothing wrong with that and in fact, I’d recommend it, at least until you get your business off the ground.

Look, no matter what the economy does in 2011, what really matters to you is your personal economy. Honestly, if the world goes to hell financially and you’re making good money with a home based business, you probably won’t really be too concerned about the state of the economy. That may be harsh but it’s the truth. Why not rise above this mess and separate yourself by partaking in a profession that generates 95% of the wealth in this country…being a business owner.

But hey, at the end of the day it’s your choice. I’m certainly not going to beg you to join my opportunity or any other. If you’re happy being an employee, more power to you. If you’re happy being unemployed, again, good luck with that. If you like struggling to get by and being under someone’s else control, to each his own. But if you want to look into a better way and make 2011 a year to actually look forward to, then I’d suggest you contact me or start doing some online research into home based business companies that you can become affiliated with.

You see, network marketing isn’t limited to traditional modes of working.  It has expanded to opportunities existing at home.  Get where I’m going with this?  Great.

The online “gurus” are almost as bad, with tactics and bad business practices that closely resemble their partners in crime at seminars around the world, with the only difference being that they spew their garbage in electronic form, from Web sites, blogs, forums and e-mail newsletters.

Make no mistake about it, the heads of the motivational organizations around the world, along with all of their cronies, who run seminars and conferences and sell useless CD’s, DVD’s and motivational books in the form of a business tool pyramid, are some of the lowest scum on Earth and are just a step above serial killers and pedophiles in my book.

These cult leaders don’t care who they hurt mentally, emotionally and financially as long as they can make more money. They are some of the greediest, blood-sucking parasites in the world.

But as bad as they are, their online counterparts are almost as corrupt. Millions of people first deal with network marketing the old-fashioned way, by being recuited at a gas station or book store and then going to a home or hotel meeting. Most people will quickly lose interest or belief in these ridiculous business practices, but some will have their interest piqued enough to continue their network marketing pursuits on the Internet.

In pursuit of building a true network marketing home business, many potential distributors will turn to online “gurus” or Internet marketing experts, as they often refer to themselves, in order to build a successful home business. What they don’t realize is that most of the big-time online network marketers are using the same greedy “business-building” tactics, selling useless e-books, expensive Internet marketing kits and instructional DVD’s, monthly Web site and membership fees and shockingly, the same motivational b.s. products that are still being pushed by the old-timers.

You just don’t notice because it’s online and seemingly “automated,” and they’ve effectively created the illusion that their systems are much evolved from the way things were done in the 1970′s and 1980′s. Well, we’re here to tell you that they’re not, but they are out to steal your money and leave you no closer to your goal of financial independence than before.

Despite all the inroads that have been made in the “work from home” arena, there are those who are still somewhat skeptical of your average network marketing home business. This is somewhat understandable due to the various dubious programs that have been promoted over the years.

However, thanks to the advent of internet based network marketing plans, a number of solid companies have developed a legitimate means to earn a significant home based income.

If there was anything that could motivate an individual to seek a network marketing home business, it would be the security it can provide.
