You will likely face a lot of crap in this industry, no matter what company your with, and not all of it will be from people outside the business, but also possibly from your own upline, downline and crossline, meaning those on your business team. To say you need to have thick skin to succeed in network marketing would be an understatement. Doing whatever it takes and shutting out the negative around you is absolutely mandatory for success in the industry, no matter what the so-called experts may tell you about building a business online in the 21st century.
But here’s the good news: it’s all worth it. Success in this industry will give you a lifestyle like no other. Residual income, free time, lifestyle choices and a great sense of fulfillment are what awaits you on the other side if you just pull through and make the decision that you will do whatever it takes to succeed in network marketing. And as you go on, the amount of work and time put into your business will go down drastically, while your income will go up significantly. There are a lot of things out there that can distract you from what you’re trying to accomplish. Whether it be sports, entertainment, politics, or that day job that you just know is not your long-term career, there are countless distractions that, if you let them, can derail you from even coming close to reaching your ultimate goal and purpose in life.
Well, as of yesterday, the Superbowl is now set. There’s only one game left in America’s most popular sport. It’s the off-season in baseball. Basketball has yet to reach the playoffs in both the pros and college. There’s really not much happening on the entertainment front to speak of. The weather is freezing cold, at least in the northern half of the country, and many people are content to just stay home for the next couple months until the temperature starts to go back up. What I’m trying to say here is that, although we as Americans always have a ton of things that could potentially distract us from what’s really important, there may not be a better time of year to capture people’s attention from now until the end of March.
For home business owners, this is the time to get to work because you will never have a more captive audience of prospects than you do right now. People have less distractions, less excuses and more time to think about their financial situation now than any other time of year. With all of the people who are unemployed, under-employed and just flat-out unhappy with their current job, combined with the cold weather and lack of distractions, it’s prime-time for growing your list of prospects and laying the foundation for the rest of the year in terms of building your network marketing business.
For those that have yet to start their own home based business, I will give it to you straight. Before I do that though, let me ask you a few questions, and be honest with yourself when you answer.
Are you seriously happy with where your life is at right now?
Are you satisfied, on a daily basis, with your job or small business? Honestly, do you love what you do, and would you do it even if you didn’t get paid, assuming you had enough money and necessities from other means?
Do you know of a better solution that could offer you more time and money and a better lifestyle than a home based business or network marketing?
If you’ve answered these questions the way I think you have (if you’ve been completely honest with yourself) then it’s time to make some drastic changes. Am I right? I mean, you could keep doing what you’re doing, but then again, that will just keep getting you what you’re currently getting, which is more than likely, not what you really want out of life. You want to be happy, and in order for that to happen, you are going to need a sufficient amount of money, and the time to enjoy that money and do the things you really want to do on a daily basis, rather than go to work for someone else doing a job that you’re not really passionate about.
So while the conditions might be perfect to start your home business right now, honestly, the conditions are ALWAYS perfect. No matter what time of year it is, no matter what the weather’s like or what kind of sports or entertainment are on TV, if you really want to be successful and make meaningful change, it comes down to desire and making a clear-cut decision to do it right now. In other words, cut the crap and start to open your mind to one of the very few options you have to create financial freedom in your life. If you’ve been wavering, or skeptical, or ignorant of the opportunity that awaits you if you just reached out and grabbed it, then it’s time to WAKE UP! Stop making excuses, and start developing a backbone and making strong DECISIONS. Make the decision to start a home business and to achieve financial independence with that home business. It will be the most fulfilling thing you can do in this life to earn money, and it will buy your life back in terms of free time and lifestyle choices. Continue to sit on the sidelines, or make excuses, or wander off and get caught up in more useless distractions (e.g. TV, entertainment, etc.) and suffer the consequences.
I don’t want to hear any more complaints from people about their lives if they’re not willing to invest in themselves through a home business. Seriously, if you’re not willing to make the decision to change, put forth the time and effort necessary to succeed, and come up with a minuscule amount of start-up capital to turn your life around, then I can’t do anything for you, and no one else can either. You’re hopeless, and you deserve whatever you’re handed in life in terms of finances and lifestyle.
Personally, I am now more resolved than ever to build my network marketing business and to assist others who want to start their own home based business to become profitable and create the life they truly deserve. I’ve made the decision to create a lifestyle for myself, and to help as many people as possible create that awesome lifestyle as well. I hope other home business owners will be inspired by this post to take action now and really start to build your business, no matter what company you’re affiliated with. As for everyone else, I sincerely hope you’ve made the decision by now to take control of your financial future and finally get on board with a leader and business team that are going somewhere. I believe 2011 will be a banner year for the network marketing and home based business industry. It might be its best year ever.
Between the state of the economy, both nationally and globally, the high unemployment rate, and the recent drastic increase in the amount of people that want to be their own boss and experience personal freedom, among other key trends, the coming year appears to ripe for network marketing business growth.
I’m not saying every company is going to thrive in 2011, and definitely not every individual network marketing business owner, but from what I’ve seen and the way things are headed in the near future, 2011 seems like it could be the biggest year ever for an increase in overall network marketing business ownership and sales profits. I believe the large, established, older companies will benefit the most from this shift in our national mindset and our current financial circumstances, although many smaller network marketing companies could see a significant rise in profits too.
If you’re already a home based business owner, half the battle is over, as all you need to do now is position yourself in the marketplace and continue to promote and take action to benefit from the coming tidal wave of financial growth. If you’re not, there’s never been a better time than right now to take control of your future and get your own home business started.
In early 2010, I predicted that the fall of 2010 would see a dramatic rise in the number of network marketing business owners and profits for many of the companies in our industry. While the overall growth this year has been steady and very positive, things didn’t quite take off like I expected in the latter half of this year. However, the signs all point to things changing in a major way in early 2011, perhaps as soon as January.
In my 4 and a half years in the industry, I’ve never seen this market primed so well for growth in the near future, and when it takes off, I don’t see it falling off for a long, long time, if ever. People are starting to take the home based business and network marketing industry seriously, seeing it for what it is: the only true option the common man has for legally attaining wealth and lifestyle in this world. No matter how fast or slow our economy recovers, if it even recovers at all, the future of network marketing, both in the short-term and long-term, appears to be very bright.
My advice to you: start your research now and make the decision sooner rather than later to start a home based business and join a legitimate network marketing opportunity.
