Grow Your Network Marketing Business

As important as it is to learn Internet marketing skills and use a powerful online system to build a profitable network marketing business, it’s also essential that you develop yourself and maintain the right mindset and attitude to really build a large organization. The way to do this is through personal growth and self development.

The best method to grow and develop yourself over the long haul is one of the most basic, old-school practices that a network marketer or other business owner could partake in, and that’s reading.

While there are other things you can do to work on your mindset and stay motivated, nothing provides the type of success training and education you need like reading good self development books does.

That’s why I’ve decided to open a new offshoot business of Pro Network Marketing called the Self Development Shop. We will be offering self development books and other related products to grow yourself and vault you to financial and personal success.

This new online store will be opening its virtual doors sometime in May, and I am eager to share these valuable products with you. I know that they will help thousands of people achieve the kind of success and happiness in life that they’ve been searching for. So keep up to date with this blog and watch for more updates on the Self Development Shop!

It’s tragic that so many people get started with a network marketing business thinking they will become rich overnight, even when their sponsor and company reminds them repeatedly that there is no such thing as “get rich quick,” and any business will take time to build and develop into a full-time income.

The Internet has made this thinking even more pervasive. Sure, online marketing has helped the network marketing industry as much as any other type of business out there, but it doesn’t mean that profits are automatically going to flow in overnight with little time or effort put forth.

You need to take a long term approach to making money online through your network marketing business. This means taking the time to learn and implement key Internet marketing strategies, learning how to use online systems and websites that will help you grow your network and sell products, and not burning through your monthly advertising budget in two weeks.

Always remember that network marketing is a marathon, not a sprint. You are in this for the long haul, right? Then take your time, be patient, and continue to work gradually toward the future. You will get there. But it does take a long term approach and long-term thinking. That’s how all successful business owners think, and that’s how successful network marketers get ahead as well.

The more entrepreneurs we can convince to slow down and develop a long-term attitude toward their business, while ridding themselves of the impatient, get-rich-quick-overnight attitude they likely came into the industry with, the more retention we’re going to see and the more success stories we’re going to hear. After all, it’s a proven fact that the majority of people who have developed this long-term thinking approach to their network marketing business, and have stayed in the game and persevered for 10 plus years, are extremely successful.

So if you’re interested in running a profitable network marketing business, and developing a long-term residual income that will not only take care of you, but can be willed to your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, then you need to develop a long-term thought process toward your business.

Today is the first full day of spring, and with it brings the potential for new opportunities and for some, a chance to start over.

So many people are turning to direct sales and network marketing these days to start a business and work from home, and I commend those people who are taking the risk and looking to stretch themselves and work towards some new exciting goals. But my main message today is towards those people that already run a network marketing business.

If you haven’t seen the success you’ve wanted to see so far, or if you haven’t reached your goals, then now is as good of a time as ever to recharge your batteries and start anew. I don’t necessarily mean finding a new opportunity or company to switch to, but to maybe reassess your situation.

Evaluate where you are and where you see yourself going in your network marketing company in the near future and long-term. If you don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, then maybe it really is time to consider a change to a company that better fits your needs and gives you a chance to succeed.

More than likely though, it’s time to sharpen your skills, learn a few basic, simple, duplicatable methods to market your business and products, and recommit to making 2011 the year that your network marketing business takes off. We are entering quite possibly the most interesting era in the history of the network marketing industry. Now is no time to give up or even let up.

Get back on track, go full force and watch the rewards of your efforts come to pass. You won’t have to sustain your marketing and promotional work for that long, trust me. Just exert a short burst of letting people know you have the answer to their financial problems, and you will be living free with a healthy residual income and an unbeatable lifestyle that only an online network marketing business can provide.

Network marketers often forget that we are in the direct sales industry. The key word there is “sales.” We all know that the big money is in recruiting and building your downline full of committed people who will not only buy your company’s products but also hopefully expand their network as well. But somewhere along the line, it seems to me that product sales faded into the background.

My message to you today is not to put all of your focus on selling your company’s products, but also to not completely shut out product sales from your network marketing business, only because you are potentially leaving a lot of money on the table.

If your company has just one product, then learning about that product and retailing it to outside consumers should not be all that difficult, provided the product is competitively priced and high quality. If your company has a more extensive product line, then my suggestion to you is to pick out one or two products, or even a whole line of products, and become an expert on those items.

Every product your company offers will not necessarily be easy to sell. But you should have some high value products that are competitively priced or maybe even low priced. Or more than likely, they are just very high quality products, such as an exclusive dietary supplement. These are the types of products that you should be retailing to interested customers.

Of course selling products is easier said than done, but it’s no more difficult than recruiting, and actually, I’ve found leading with the product first rather than the business opportunity to be much more successful and having a much higher conversion rate.

Either way, it doesn’t hurt to create some short term profits while you build your long-term residual income through your network. And if you set up your sales system properly, such as through pay per click marketing or other automated methods of product selling, retailing your company’s products actually can become residual income, and can become just as lucrative as if you were to build a substantial team.

So don’t neglect the “sales” part of direct sales or network marketing, because you could be losing out on a significant additional stream of income.
