I just have a quick update on the upcoming Self Development Shop, which you can see is already accessible in the header of this website but is not yet open for business.
The design is coming along well and the homepage is just about complete. I think it looks fantastic, and hopefully you will too. The design and layout are attractive yet simplistic and clean, which is exactly what I prefer and I think a lot of people do as well.

We don’t need any more followers in this world. There is no shortage of employees and people looking to take direction from others. But we do have a lack of true leaders and entrepreneurs in this country and in the world, and it’s been showing up in the national and global economy for the past few years.
That’s not to say that I blame our economic issues solely on our lack of leaders and forward thinkers, but this problem has definitely been one of the things that’s contributed to the downturn.
We need more people to start their own businesses, whether it be in network marketing or some other field. We need more innovative entrepreneurs to lead the way towards the next revolution that will spur our global economy to new heights and rescue it from the recession it’s been in. To put it simply, we need more leaders.
I can’t believe that so many people out there today are still comfortable being in the rat race and working for other people. There is no security, no upward mobility in most cases, and no fun. It sucks having to bend over backwards to make other people happy (like your boss) just so that you don’t get fired. It sucks having to work more hours than you’d like to, doing things you’d rather not be doing, all the while dreaming about what you’d rather be doing.
Many people see this, but they can’t see a way out. It unfortunate that there are so many uninformed people that don’t know that self-employment, entrepreneurialism and owning your own business are the ONLY way out that will get you on the path towards living the life you want to live.
Even if you don’t believe in network marketing (for whatever stupid reason), you should consider being an entrepreneur of some type, unless you want to work 40+ hours per week for 40+ years in a cubicle doing something that you at best tolerate and at worst despise so you can try to enjoy the weekend. Living for two days per week, or two weeks per year, is not something I envy, and I bet you don’t care for it either.
So why not? Why not try network marketing? Why not try starting an e commerce business? Why not try starting any type of business?
Your success is obviously not guaranteed, and the initial set up of these businesses and others can be just as much if not more work than taking the traditional employee route to earning money, but in the long run, it’s worth it. And if you happen to fail with your first, second, or even third foray into owning your own business, stay persistent, and eventually you’ll get there. If you refuse to be denied, you are truly unstoppable and you will ultimately be a successful entrepreneur.
The world is in more need of leaders and entrepreneurs right now than at any other point in our history. We need people to step up to the plate and move us forward as a nation. We need people to take responsibility for their own paychecks and their own lives. I ask you today to stop sitting on the sidelines of life and get moving with your own business.
Start working on yourself as a leader and others will follow you. Then you teach them to be leaders and entrepreneurs as well. It’s a beautiful cycle, and one that is absolutely necessary right now if we are to realize our true potential and experience financial and personal freedom.
Self development is necessary to succeed in anything you do in your life. But as a business owner, it’s even more crucial. It’s also a continual process. You need to be constantly working on yourself and your mindset if you want to continue to progress as an entrepreneur or network marketing business owner.
That’s why it’s critical that you’re willing to invest in yourself before you invest in anything else to experience success with your business or career.
